STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Seawolves are adding more size to their frontcourt.
Former Fairfield University forward Chris Maidoh will join the men's basketball program for the upcoming season, the program announced on Monday afternoon. The New Carrollton, Md., native shot 54 percent from the field during his latest collegiate season with the Stags.
"We are thrilled to add Chris to our program," head coach
Geno Ford said. "He is a versatile frontcourt player that will provide an immediate impact for us. We are excited about his ability to play on both ends of the floor. He has the ability to play from multiple areas on offense and is an elite defender who will help protect the rim and provide a strong rebounding presence."
The 6-foot-10 Scotland Campus (Pa.) product is effective on both ends of the court. In addition to his ability to shoot from the field, Maidoh registered 22 blocks throughout the 2022-23 campaign.
"I am excited to get to work with Coach Ford to continue to develop my skills and I am looking forward to helping my teammates compete for a CAA championship," Maidoh said.
He came off the bench to lead the Fairfield offense and score a season-high 12 points for the Stags in the First Round of the MAAC Tournament. He also pulled down a season-high nine rebounds en route to the win over Siena this past season.
