QUEENS, N.Y. – The Stony Brook softball team fell to St. John's, 10-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Red Storm Field.
The Red Storm came out strong and took an early lead with a big third inning. St. John's tallied eight runs in the third inning courtesy of back-to-back fielding errors, a RBI double, a two RBI single, and a two run home run.
The team from Queens kept the hot hitting going in the fourth, plating two more runs with a double to left center and a single to left to ultimately secure the 10-0 victory in five innings.
