WASHINGTON, D.C - The Stony Brook University men's soccer team was outlasted, 3-1, on the road against George Washington on Tuesday at GW Soccer Field. Olsen Aluc tallied his third goal of the season in the loss.
The Revolutionaries grabbed the lead when Nacho Alastuey scored in the 21st minute, assisted by William Turner. Less than a minute later, George Washington added another goal, this time from Turner.
Stony Brook narrowed the gap on Aluc's 37th-minute goal, assisted by Moses Bakabulindi. The score would hold heading into the intermission.
The Colonials tacked on another score in the 58th minute. A late chance from freshman Jacson Coppack went just wide of the cage, and despite some other chances, time ran out on the Seawolves.
STATS AND NOTES
- Aluc leads the team in goals (3) and points (6) through four fixtures. The junior from Bohemia, N.Y. has collected a goal in three straight contests.
- Bakabulindi played 42 minutes off the bench, registering an assist on Stony Brook's lone goal. He has now tallied a point in three consecutive matches.
- Edmond Kaiser made four saves for the Seawolves.
- The Revolutionaries outshot the Seawolves 15-8 and owned a 7-2 edge in shots on goal.

Stony Brook resumes CAA play on Saturday when it travel across the Island to face Hofstra. The Seawolves and Pride get going at 7 p.m. with the match being live streamed on FloFC. Stony Brook topped Hofstra, the eventual CAA Champion, in last season's matchup.
