NEWTON, Mass. - Stony Brook men's soccer got a pair of goals from Olsen Aluc, but the Seawolves fell to Boston College 4-2, on Saturday evening on the road at Newton Campus Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Boston College took an early 1-0 lead when Max Andrews scored in the fourth minute, assisted by Ask Ekeland and Marco Dos Santos.
The Seawolves responded to tie things up on a goal from Aluc -- his second goal of the season -- in the 11th minute, assisted by
Caleb Danquah and
Alex Fleury. The match would stay tied through the half as the Seawolves notched a pair of shots with two corners kicks in the first 45 minutes.
Boston College later grabbed a 2-1 lead on Dos Santos' 72nd-minute goal. The Seawolves then knotted things up at 2-2 with a 75th-minute goal from Aluc, tallying a brace to keep the squad in the match. The Eagles busted up the 2-2 draw on another Dos Santos goal in the 80th minute, before scoring again in the 86
th minute, thanks to Michael Asare.
Stony Brook tallied seven shots with one corner kick through the final period of regulation but were unable to close the gap on Boston College, facing a 4-2 defeat.
