WASHINGTON – Two Stony Brook women's lacrosse student-athletes in graduate student
Alex Finn and senior
Clare Levy were added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List in the second round of additions, the Tewaaraton Foundation announced Thursday.

Combined with
Kailyn Hart's and
Ellie Masera's selections to the initial Watch List, four Seawolves have made the list this year.

Finn, a transfer from UMass, has scored 17 goals and added 35 assists for 52 points in total. She leads the CAA and ranks fourth in the country in assists per game (3.5). She also sits third in the league and 11th in Division I in points per game (5.2). She set her career high for points in a game during the season opener against Dartmouth with nine and assists in a game after finishing with eight against Campbell on March 24.Â

The Westwood, Mass. native was named CAA Co-Player of the Week on Feb. 19. Stony Brook's offense currently ranks 10th in the country at 15.7 goals per game.

Levy, a defensive captain, has 17 ground balls and eight caused turnovers, along with 38 draw controls. She has multiple ground balls in six games this season and multiple caused turnovers in three. The Rocky Point, N.Y. native has also jumped into the offense with four goals and three assists this season, which included her first career multi-goal performance against Towson on March 16.

She took the CAA Player of the Week distinction on Feb. 26, and the Stony Brook defense currently ranks sixth in the nation as of March 26, allowing just 8.2 goals per game.

Finn and Levy were two of 13 women's lacrosse student-athletes included in the second round of additions. Stony Brook and Virginia were the only two schools with multiple players added to the Watch List on Thursday.

The next round for the Tewaaraton Award will be the selection of 25 nominees in April, followed by the selection of five finalists prior to the NCAA Championship in May. The selection of the 2024 Tewaaraton Award winners will be on May 30 in Washington, D.C.
