PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Stony Brook University men's outdoor track and field team impressed on a national stage during the 128th annual Penn Relays this past Thursday and Friday. The weekend was highlighted by a first-place finish in the 1,500-meter championship by Collin Gilstrap and a new program record in the Steeplechase set by Carlos Santos.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Gilstrap took first place in the 1,500-meter dash. Setting a new personal record with a time of (3:42.53).
• Santos placed sixth in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase (8:40.32).
• Evan Brennan finished sixth in the 10,000-meter (28:59.86).

Stony Brook will return to action this Sunday with the team competing at the Yale Springtime classic.
