STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook University football program announced a future home-and-home series with reigning FCS National Champion North Dakota State University, set to begin in 2028 on Long Island. The agreement brings one of the most respected and successful programs in the FCS to Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium for the first time.

The Seawolves will host the Bison on September 16, 2028, at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. The series concludes with a return trip to North Dakota on August 31, 2030, at the Fargodome in Fargo.

The 2028 matchup will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

North Dakota State, a current member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC), is widely considered the gold standard in FCS football. The Bison have claimed 18 national championships, including five since 2017, and became the first program in NCAA history to win five straight national titles from 2011-2015.

Notable football alumni from NDSU include current NFL quarterbacks Carson Wentz, Trey Lance, and Easton Stick, wide receiver Christian Watson, and offensive lineman Grey Zabel.

Bring your group out to Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium and enjoy the thrill of gameday, exclusive group benefits, and great discounted pricing to help create an unforgettable experience.
