ANBURY, Conn. — Stony Brook football defensive lineman
Dyshier Clary added to his postseason accolades after earning a spot on the All-ECAC Defensive Team, as announced by the organization this afternoon.
Clary, a graduate from New Jersey who earned First Team All-CAA honors on Nov. 25, received ECAC honors for the first time in his career after leading the team with 14.5 tackles for loss for 52 yards—the seventh-most in a single season in program history—along with 6.5 sacks, six of them solo. He helped the defense allow the second-fewest rushing touchdowns and the fifth-fewest rushing yards in the conference, finishing the season with 39 tackles, a fumble recovery, and three quarterback hurries. Clary recorded tackles in 10 of 12 games, including 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks against No. 7/10 Villanova.
With their season-ending victory over Bryant, Stony Brook improved to 5-1 at LaValle Stadium this season and 9-3 at home dating back to last year—surpassing their total home wins from 2019–2023. The Seawolves finished 6-6 (3-3 CAA), and their 14 total victories since last season match the combined win total from that four-year span.
