RICHMOND, Va. – After leading Stony Brook to back-to-back victories for the first time since 2023, freshman Mila Charles and sophomore Elena Lobo-Corral have been named the CAA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Charles and Lobo-Corral became the first duo in program history to receive the CAA weekly honor and the first Seawolves to earn any conference weekly award.

Competing at No. 1 doubles, the pair posted a 2-0 record over the weekend. They opened with a dominant 6-1 win against Fairfield's Sarah Liu and Victoria Mandma, securing a crucial doubles point in Stony Brook's 4-3 victory. The duo followed up with a 6-3 win over Wagner's Liepa Sataite and Claudia Lindsey, helping the Seawolves clinch the doubles point once again on their way to a 6-1 team victory.

Lobo-Corral also went undefeated at No. 1 singles, while Charles earned a hard-fought singles victory over Wagner's Valeria Vera (4-6, 7-6 [10-8], 6-1) as Stony Brook recorded consecutive wins for the first time in over a year. Stony Brook also extended their winning streak against both programs. The squad is now 14-0 against Fairfield and 7-0 against Wagner all-time. 

The Seawolves return to action on Feb. 15, hosting Drexel in their first CAA matchup of the spring.
