RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook softball graduate shortstop Kyra McFarland was tabbed the CAA Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

McFarland slashed .643/.688/1.071 in a 3-2 week for Stony Brook. McFarland hit safely in all five games, posted a pair of multi-hit efforts and capped off her week with a 4-4 performance that featured a walk-off homer. For the week, McFarland was 9-14 at the dish with three extra-base hits, four runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base. Her first homer of the season lifted the Seawolves over the Cougars and clinched Stony Brook's second CAA series victory of the season.
