RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook softball shortstop
Kyra McFarland was named the CAA Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. McFarland slashed .611/.650/1.000 across five games, tallying 11 hits to go with seven runs and an RBI.
The Seawolves' infielder reached base safely and notched multi-hit performances in all five games over the weekend. She also had an extra-base hit and scored a run in four of the five games.
After smacking a triple in the weekend opener against Chattanooga, McFarland slapped a trio of singles in the following game against Gardner-Webb. The Colorado product registered three tallies and a triple, part of a two-hit outing on Saturday against the Mocs. She followed up with a pair of runs and two hits against IU Indy in its first meeting before producing an RBI triple and a run scored against the Jaguars on Sunday.
