STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Stony Brook softball student-athletes Gabrielle Maday, Emily Reinstein, Alyssa Costello, Maddie Male, and Madelyn Stepski all earned recognition from the College Sports Communicators today in making the 2025 Academic All-District Softball Team.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the country's top student-athletes for their performances on the field and in the classroom
Nomination criteria include holding a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or better, being a sophomore standing or higher both academically and athletically and playing a key role in the lineup with participation in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
