STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Excellence continues to shine both on the court and in the classroom for the Stony Brook women's tennis program, as the team and nine standout student-athletes were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for their academic achievements in the 2024–25 academic year.

The Seawolves were named an ITA All-Academic Team after posting a team GPA above 3.2, meeting the high standard set by the national organization. Additionally, Mia Palladino, Lorin Tilipman, Elena Lobo Corral, Kristi Boro, Carmen Victoria Villalba Rubio, Mila Charles, Cornelia Bruu-Syversen, Isadora Fares, and Sara Medved were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes, each earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

"This is great to see and a well earned recognition with all the effort and care our student-athletes and academic staff put in," said head coach Thiago Dualiby

The ITA's All-Academic awards celebrate the critical role that academics play in the college tennis experience. This year, 1,462 Division I women's tennis players were named ITA Scholar-Athletes and 222 teams earned All-Academic Team status.

The Seawolves are coming off their first double-figure win season since 2022–23, posted the most CAA wins in program history, ended the year on a six-match winning streak, and went 7-1 at home.
