Seawolves Shutout Quinnipiac to Grab Second Win of Season

STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Stony Brook notched a 3-0 victory over Quinnipiac on Tuesday evening at LaValle Stadium. Finlay Oliver tallied a season-high four points, scoring the opening goal of the contest and assisting on Stony Brook's other two scores.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Stony Brook jumped out to a one-goal lead when Oliver recorded his second goal of the season in the 18th minute. Alex Fleury and Jackson Gould assisted on the lidlifter.

The Seawolves added a second first-half goal when freshman Ryan Farr netted the first of his collegiate career in the 34th minute, assisted by Kristoffer Aarflot and Oliver. The Seawolves carried a two-goal advantage into the break. Stony Brook's defense limited the Bobcats to just two shots across the opening 45 minutes of action. Rushon Sandy, making his first start of the season, was not forced to make a save in the first half.

Stony Brook expanded its lead to 3-0 on Nelson Reynoso's 58th-minute goal, his first of the season. Oliver again had a hand in the Seawolves finding the back of the net, assisting on Reynoso's first as a Seawolf.
