  • Boyd and Reshard got the Seawolves' first drive going with a 12-yard gain to pick up a first down. A play later, Stony Brook moved the ball to the opposing 49-yard line with a 13-yard gain to Linkins. Reeder capped off the drive with a 29-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7.
  • The Seawolves got a stop on third-and-goal at the four-yard line. Campbell's 23-yard field goal attempt was missed to keep the score tied at 7-7.

After Boyd and Sweitzer connected for 15 yards, a pass interference penalty moved the ball to the opposing 32-yard line. Following a 23-yard strike to Linkins, Boyd found Sweitzer in the end zone to give Stony Brook a 14-7 lead with 13:05 left in the half.
  • The Stony Brook defense recorded its first three-and-out of the game after a big hit by Garcia on third down forced a punt to the Seawolves' seven-yard line.
