- Scott Gell opened the top of the fifth with a walk, and James Schaffer moved him to second with a bunt. Nicholas Dromboski and Pilla followed with walks to load the bases with one out. After a strikeout, Jackson and Coffey each drew bases-loaded walks to give the Seawolves a 4-2 edge. Colagrande returned in the bottom half and tossed a 1-2-3 frame to keep Stony Brook in front.
- After FIU held Stony Brook scoreless in the sixth, the Seawolves went to the bullpen and brought in Dylan Henshaw. H.
