NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Stony Brook had its most dominant win of the season on Friday as they swept Rider 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-12).
Ayanna Pierre Louis had the most efficient match of her career with her highest ever attack percentage (minimum 10 attempts) at .727 to go along with her team-leading eight kills. Meanwhile, Zayda Fuertez led the Seawolves with 13 digs and four service aces.
How It Happened
SET 1 | The Seawolves got the day started on a 3-0 run and never let up, getting kills from six different players and a pair of blocks from Damisi Osibodu and Lei Lasike to go up 15-5 halfway through. The team would maintain its 10-point lead throughout the remainder of the set, with Pierre Louis leading the way with an ace and two more kill to close out the frame.
SET 2 | After falling behind 8-4 to begin the second, Stony Brook soon evened things up with a 4-0 run featuring back-to-back aces from Rayanne Wheat. Both teams would go back-and-forth from there, tying up the score eight more times en route to an 18-18 score. Finally, the Seawolves break the stalemate with a 3-0 run that saw kills from Quinn Anderson, Ella Sanders, and Mercedes Motton to make it 20-18. Stony Brook would hold on for the win thanks to the ninth Rider attack error of the day.
SET 3 | Following a close one in the second, it was all Seawolves in the third as they exploded with a 9-0 run to blow the game wide open and increase the lead from 9-5 to 18-5. Fuertez capped off this run with three service aces. From there Stony Brook cruised to victory as Carey-Jean Block logged the team's 11th ace of the day and Pierre Louis finished things off with one final kill.

- Fuertez topped 50 career aces today, ending the match with 51.
- Stony Brook's 11 aces are the team's most in a match since notching 16 at Hampton on September 26, 2025.
