2009: Played in three games as a true freshman ... saw his first collegiate action at Massachusetts (9/26) when injuries to SBU[apos]s[apos] top-two backs put him in the game ... responded with 56 yards on 11 carries ... established career-high with 94 yards on 14 carries in the win over Presbyterian (10/3).

High School: A 2009 graduate of Freedom High School ... lettered his only season at Freedom ... first team all-area and first team AAAA all-state ... rushed for 1,692 yards and 21 touchdowns ... also lettered twice in football at Bethlehem Catholic ... as a junior there rushed for 1,175 yards and 14 scores ... also lettered in basketball and track.

Personal: Born Eddie Mateo in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania ... son of Edward Mateo and Liset Pacheco.
