2009: Started all 11 games ... had 37 catches for 398 yards and a touchdown ... led team in catches ... caught team[apos]s only touchdown at Hofstra (9/5) ... had four catches for 80 yards at North Dakota ... had a 35-yard catch vs. North Dakota ... career-high in receptions (11) and yards (112) at VMI (10/17).

2008: Saw action in six games as a reserve receiver ... caught his only pass of the season at Maine (9/13) for five yards.

Prior to Stony Brook: Played two seasons at Palomar College in California ... lettered both seasons ... third on the team with 16 receptions as a sophomore ... totaled 216 yards and one TD on those catches ... helped the team to a berth in the Southern California Bowl ... team finished with a 7-3 record and a #26 final national ranking.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Southwest High School in San Diego... two letters in football for the Raider as a receiver ... all-metro selection in the San Diego area ... two-time captain of the team ... also lettered in basketball and track and field.

Personal: Born Stephan Towns on June 14, 1988 ... son of Frank and Mary Towns ... majoring in sociology.
