Biography

2018: Earned first team All-America East...Played in and started all 57 games...Started games at both 1B and 3B...Named the America East Player of the Week on April 10 after he recorded eight hits in 10 at-bats in the series win at Maine...Had six triples, the fifth most in a single season at Stony Brook and finished his career with 12 triples, the fourth most in a career for the Seawolves...Led the team with 23 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games...Also had the longest hitting streak of the season at 10 games...Had a season-best four hits in the series opener at Maine (April 7)...Struck out only seven times in 242 plate appearances, the second best ratio in the country.

2017: Started 40 games at third base...Missed a few weeks of the early season due to illness...Rattled off 40 hits, including his second career home run at NYIT (May 2)...For the second straight season he provided a walk-off hit in the America East Conference tournament when he singled home Dylan Resk in the 10th inning against Hartford (May 24)...Posted 13 multi-hit games with a pair of three-hit games...Had three hits against Iona (April 5) and at UMass Lowell (April 14)...Recorded four multi-RBI games, including a three-RBI outing at NYIT (May 2).

2016: Started all 54 games...Started games at 2B, 1B, SS and 3B...Collected 52 hits with 12 for extra bases...Had 10 multi-hit games with a pair of season-high three hit days , one at Bryant (April 22) and one at Maine (May 14)...Earned a spot on the America East All-Tournament team after some walk-off dramatics when he hit first first collegiate home run off the scoreboard with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to defeat Maine in the opening game of the tournament...Also had a pair of two-hit games in the tournament...Opened the season with a 12-game hitting streak and had a 10-game streak from May 7 to May 27.

2015: Played in 46 games with 42 starts...Got starts at SS, 2B, 3B, C and DH...Was named to the America East Conference All-Rookie team after posting a .257 batting average with 38 hits, 21 RBI and 26 runs scored...Collected eight multi-hit games, including a 5-for-5 afternoon in at Albany (April 26)...Committed just one error in 68 total chances in the field for a .985 fielding percentage.

High School: Three year varsity player at Massapequa High School...a 2014 all-state selection and an all-county honoree in 2012 and 13...also was an all-county and All-Long Island golfer for the Chiefs...batted over .450 in each of his three varsity seasons.

Personal: Robert Dennis Honeyman...born May 25, 1996...son of Rob and Jennifer...father played football at Central Connecticut State...uncle, Jimmy Dietz, was a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers...Business Management major.
