MEN'S BASKETBALL REPORT
Overall: 4-16, 2-8 America East
Stony Brook lost its only outing of the week, an 85-62 decision to Albany on Wednesday... Tre Cunningham equalled a season high with 15 points, connecting on four three-pointers in the game... Solomon Bamiro continued his fine play with 12 points... Stephane Bakinde came off the bench to register six points and six boards... the Seawolves trailed by four at the half, but yielded 51 second-half points in the loss.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL REPORT
Overall: 12-7, 5-3 America East
Stony Brook earned a 68-46 victory at Albany in its only action last week... the win snapped a four-game losing streak to the Great Danes... the Seawolves held Albany to just 46 points, which was a season low for SB's opponents... Jessica Smith notched 20 points, seven rebounds and seven steals, which tied her for the 10th best single-game total in program history... she had gone a career-worst three games without reaching double-figures in scoring... Sidney Orndorff netted 12 points while Dana Ferraro pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and Kelly Watson added nine points off the bench.
MEN'S AND WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD REPORT
Dana Hastie defended her Metropolitan title in the 3000-meters to lead the Seawolves at the Metropolitan Championships on Sunday at the New York Armory... Hastie's winning time of 9:54.20 also qualified her for ECAC's... Other top performances came from Sarah Herbert, who was second in the 800-meters and Kerry Salzano, who was third in the 3000-meters, while Lauren Gengo and Angie Washburn finished fifth and sixth respectively in the 1000-meters and the 4x400-meter relay team of Danielle Lewis, Herbert, Rosanna Peralta and Washburn finished eighth... On the men's side, Sean Sullivan had the highest finishing spot taking fourth in the 3000-meters, but the performance of the meet for the men came from Michael Petrina who was sixth in the 5000-meters with a personal best time by over 30 seconds, running 15:09.36 for the 25 lap race... Other scoring performances came from Rahmel Huffmann, who was sixth in high jump, Justin Miller, who was seventh in the shot put and the 4x400m relay team of the team of Melvin Genao, Huffman, Mubaarak Muhammad and Andre Raymond, which finished eighth and posted the teams best time of the season... On Friday at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational Leonora Joy won the college section of the 3000-meters in a season-bes and ECAC qualifying time of 9:44.25 to place seventh overall.
MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING REPORT
The Seawolves split with Binghamton Saturday in a very close meet, with the women topping the Bearcats, 155-81, and the men's squad falling just short, 122-121... Shirlee Manoogian was a dual-winner on the afternoon, breaking school records in the 100 free and the 200 IM... Other individual winners included Lucy Liu (1000 free and 200 fly), Hailey Lewandowski (1 and 3-meter diving), Jamie Bevilacqua (50 free), Courtney Teague (200 free), Kym Sgrignoli (500 free), Kim Harris (200 back) and Allison DeSanti (200 breast)... The Seawolves took care of the relays, as the 200 freestyle relay of Manoogian, Teague, Autumn Griggers and Bevilacqua and 200 medley relay team of Harris, Alison Porteus, DeSanti and Bevilacqua both picked up wins... On the men's side, the Seawolves entered the final event needing to take the top two spots but came up short, winning the 400 free relay but just being touched out for second place by the Bearcats... The team of Omer Ozcan, Dan Piastuck, Alex Kissel and Nathan French earned the win... Individual winners for SB included Julian Acevado (1 and 3-meter diving) and Jon Sigurosson (200 breast), Rafael Labour (200 backstroke).

The sophomore crossed first in 9:54.20, while also qualifying for ECAC Championships.
