Berardi, a pitching specialist, previously served as head softball coach at Queens College during the 2016-17 season.
After joining the Stony Brook staff prior to the 2018 campaign, Berardi helped lead the Seawolves to a 25-22 (10-7 AE) record in 2018, going 2-2 in conference postseason play. Four Seawolves earned America East All-Conference awards in 2018: Melissa Rahrich - America East Player of the Year/First Team, Irene Rivera - First Team, Nicole McCarvill - Second Team/All-Rookie, Katelyn Corr - All-Academic.
While at Queens College, Berardi led the program to 13 wins in the 2017 season. Queens College won four of its final five games of the season, making a late playoff push in the ECC. In addition to her primary responsibilities as head coach, Berardi worked with the athletic department to help schedule games, fundraise, and organize community service efforts.
Prior to her time at Queens College, Berardi served as an assistant coach at Southern New Hampshire University. While at SNHU from 2011-2016, Berardi served as the team's pitching coach, helped develop practice plans, and was heavily involved in the program's recruiting process. The Penmen earned an NCAA Tournament berth in each of Berardi's final three seasons with the program. Berardi also served as Executive Assistant to the Athletic Director during her time at SNHU, preparing contracts for competition dates and devising game schedules for the department.
As a student-athlete, Berardi spent four years as a starting pitcher at LIU Post. During her senior season in 2011, Berardi earned NFCA First Team All-Region honors. She recorded 63 wins in the circle during her career, posting a 1.58 ERA with 469 strikeouts. Berardi is a three-time All-ECC award winner, and helped lead the program to a pair of Division II World Series appearances and two ECC championships.
Berardi earned her bachelor's degree from LIU Post in psychology in 2011, and recently completed her master's degree in sports management from Southern New Hampshire.
