2020: Recorded a pair of runs in win at Southeastern Louisiana on Feb. 29 … drove in game’s first run in season’s first win at Texas State on Feb. 15.

2019: Redshirted due to rotator cuff injury suffered in 2018 summer ball in North Dakota.

2018: Played in and started 44 games...Recorded six multi-hit games, including three hits against UMBC (April 22)...Drove in three runs with a pair of doubles in the win over Binghamton (March 17)...Did not commit error in 102 total chances in outfield.

Prior to Stony Brook: Spent two seasons at Glendale Community College...Batted .450 during his second season for coach Chris Cicuto.

High School: Graduated from Bishop Alemany in 2015...Earned three letters for head coach Randy Thompson...Named third team All-Mission League as a junior.

Personal: Son of Heriberto and Silvia Montes ... Has five siblings: Jose, Edgar, Michelle, Paola and Stephanie ...
