2025 (Junior): Perfect Game CAA Preseason Pitcher of the Year… Preseason All-CAA honoree… Named to D1Baseball's Preseason Top-150 Starting Pitchers list… Made a team-high 14 starts as the primary Friday starter for the Seawolves… Finished with a 1-5 record and a 6.83 ERA, recording 50 strikeouts over 59.1 innings… Set new career highs in starts, innings pitched, batters faced, and recorded his first career complete game… Allowed one run over 4.0 innings and struck out a season-best seven batters at Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 14, then matched that strikeout total in 5.0 innings at FGCU on Feb. 21… Allowed one run over 5.2 innings vs. Seton Hall on March 14… Earned the victory with a seven-inning complete game at Hofstra, allowing just three runs on April 18… Allowed just one run over 2.0 innings in his final appearance of the season vs. Monmouth on May 15.
2024 (Sophomore): All-CAA Honorable Mention… Appeared in 11 games, starting all 11 with 55 innings pitched… Led the team in several pitching statistics, including wins (5), ERA (3.11), strikeouts (56), and batting average against (.215)... Ranked top-three in the CAA in ERA, opposing batting average (.215), hits allowed (43), runs allowed (23), and home runs allowed (2)... Recorded career-high 12 strikeouts in a win vs Siena on Mar. 8… Earned CAA Pitcher of the Week honors on Apr. 8.
2023 (Freshman): - Made 14 appearances in his freshman season, starting 9 games…Led the team with a 5.25 ERA… Led the freshman pitching staff in appearances (14), strikeouts (52), and innings pitched (61.2)… Picked up his first career win at home vs Lafayette on March 12… Collected his first career save at Charleston on March 19… Threw 6.2 scoreless innings and allowed one hit vs UNCW on March 26… Had career-high of 7.0 innings pitched at Hofstra on April 2 and eight strikeouts at Delaware on May 7.
AT WEST CHESTER HENDERSON HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-sport athlete at West Chester, playing football, basketball, and baseball… Two-time All Ches-Mont League First team pitcher selection (2021, 2022) … Two-time All-Area First team pitcher selection (2021, 2022) … 2021 & 2022 back-to-back Ches-Mont League Champions… 2022 Daily Local Baseball Player of the Year…Three-time Perfect Game/Rawlings Pre-season (Underclassmen) All-American - High Honorable 2021… 17U PG Mid-Atlantic Elite Championship Tournament MVP… Collected 16 wins and 252 strikeouts over his four-year varsity career… During the 2020-21 season, he hit .424 with 19 RBI in the box and collected 6 wins with a 1.11 ERA and 111 strikeouts on the bump… As a senior, Smink registered a .344 average with 30 RBI and collected 7 wins with a 0.75 ERA and 110 strikeouts on the mound.
