2025 (R-Freshman): Appeared in 18 games for the Seawolves, making eight starts in the outfield during his first season on Long Island… Collected five hits, two doubles, three RBI, six runs scored, and drew two walks and two hit-by-pitches… Made his first start as a Seawolf against Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 14… Registered his first hit and first RBI as a Seawolf on Feb. 16 vs. Bethune-Cookman… Recorded a double at No. 5 UNC on Feb. 28… Went 2-for-2 against Northeastern on March 29… Finished 1-for-3 with a double and two runs scored in Stony Brook’s final victory of the season over Monmouth on May 17.

2024 (Freshman): Did not appear in a game at Arizona. 

AT CATALINA FOOTHILLS HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in baseball under head coach Lance Robertson... Played multiple positions, including catcher, third base, and outfield... Over 80 varsity games spanning three seasons, posting a .330 batting average with 25 runs, 13 doubles, two triples, five home runs, and 42 RBI... As a senior in 2023, he recorded a .341 batting average with seven runs, 11 extra-base hits, and 23 RBI... Earned All-Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore and was named First Team All-Conference during his junior and senior seasons... Named Arizona 5A Southern Sonoran First Team All-Region as a senior... Lettered one year in football as a wide receiver.

PERSONAL: Son of Eric and Ali Bergthold... Uncle, Rich Tomey, played baseball at the University of Arizona.
