Consensus three-star recruit by all major recruiting services and one of the top WR's in state of Texas in 2016. After leading his team to an undefeated regular season, Benson capped off a brilliant scholastic career with an eight catch 109-yard performance in his team's state championship game victory. Benson redshirted in his initial season with SMU and appeared in a total of ten contests over the last two seasons.
