2008: Started the first five games of the season at safety before missing the rest of the season with a knee injury ... finished with 22 tackles ... posted season highs of six stops against both Colgate (8/30) and Hofstra (9/26) ... broke up a pair of passes at Maine (9/13).

2007: Started all 11 games for Stony Brook at free safety ... eighth on the team in tackles ... recorded 10 tackles, a forced fumble and a pass break up vs. Monmouth (9/21) ... interception against Maine (10/20) in overtime preserved the Seawolves win over the Black Bears ... totaled 10 stops in that game ... six tackles in the season finale at #24 Elon (11/17).

Prior to Stony Brook: Played three seasons at the University of Iowa ... saw action as a linebacker and on special teams.

High School: Played one season at Armwood High School after previously attending Kings High School ... at Armwood he was a second team all-state and first team all-conference pick ... made 101 tackles with four interceptions, four fumble recoveries, three blocked kicks and one sack ... second team all-conference as a junior.

Personal: Born Chris Brevi on May 10, 1985 ... son of Pete and Carol Brevi ... has already received his degree in health & sports studies ... currently enrolled in graduate school in liberal arts.
