• Became Stony Brook’s Co-Offensive Coordinator and QB coach in February of 2015.

EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree in English Literature, Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College), 1995
PLAYING CAREER
Played two seasons at Lock Haven as the starting QB and as a wide receiver. Transferred to Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) where he left as the sixth leading receiver in school history with 89 catches for 755 yards.
AT STONY BROOK
Felus joined the Stony Brook staff as the Co-Offensive Coordinator and QB coach prior to the 2016 season.
During his four seasons at Stony Brook the Seawolves have combined for 27 wins that includes 10 wins in 2017 and an appearance in the second round of the FCS Playoffs.
He helped guide the 2017 offensive unit average 28.5 points per game and post four players on the first team All-CAA Football team. Felus also helped lead Seawolves' QB Joe Carbone to one of Stony Brook's most successful seasons ever with a school record 204 completions and the second most yards (2,470) and touchdown passes (23).
The Seawolves returned to the FCS Playoffs in 2018 with seven wins. They averaged 26.8 points per game and finished first in the CAA in rushing offense. Carbone finished his career ranked in the top three in career passing yards (5,988), passing touchdowns (43), completions (504) and attempts (946).
In 2019, Felus helped guide Stony Brook QB Tyquell Fields to have one of the best statistical seasons in program history. The junior threw for the second most yards in a season (2,471) and gained the most yards of total offense in a season with 2,809 in a season.
PRIOR TO STONY BROOK
Felus came to Stony Brook after he spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator and the quarterbacks, running backs and inside receivers coach at the University of West Alabama.
Prior to his time at West Alabama, Felus spent three seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks and receivers coach at FCS member Tennessee Martin. The 2012 Skyhawk offense ranked 10th in the nation in passing (299.5 ypg) and 19th nationally in scoring offense (33.5 ppg). In 2011, UT Martin was 13th in FCS in scoring offense (34.6 ppg), 19th in total offense (427.1 ypg) and 25th in rushing offense (191.6 ypg).
Before his stint at UT Martin, Felus was the head coach at Juniata College for two seasons. Other coaching stops include Chattanooga, where he was associate head coach and offensive coordinator, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (OC/QB/WR), Shepherd University (OC/QB/WR/RC), Adams State (WR, passing game coordinator) and Saint Francis (QB/WR/RC).
At IUP, Felus helped guide the program to a 52 consecutive week run in the NCAA Division II Top 25 poll and five conference championships. With Felus on the Shepherd staff, the Rams were a combined 19-4 and advanced to the NCAA Division II football playoffs both seasons while winning two conference titles.
NOTABLE STUDENT-ATHLETES UNDER COACH FELUS
• QB
Joe Carbone (2015-18) – Carbone completed in Stony Brook career ranked in the top three in career passing yards (5,988), passing touchdowns (43), completions (504) and attempts (946). He also put together one of the best single seasons by a QB in Seawolves history with a school record 204 completions for 2,470 yards and 23 touchdowns that both ranked second in school history.

WR Ray Bolden (2015-17) - Bolden finished his Stony Brook career with 171 receptions (second most in school history), 2081 receiving yards (second most in school history) and 15 touchdowns. Bolden earned first team All-CAA Football in 2017 and was a second team All-Conference performer in 2016.

RB Eldra Buckley (Chattanooga) – Collected back-to-back 1,200 yard rushing seasons and earned first team All-Southern Conference. Signed a free agent contract with the San Diego Chargers.

QB Brian Eyerman (IUP) – Eyerman was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Player of the Year and was a Harlon Hill Award regional finalist.

WR LeRon McCoy (IUP) – McCoy was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. He was one of the top receivers in Division II as a senior.

RB Damian Beane (Shepherd) – Beane was a All-America and a Harlon Hill Award finalist.
