Currently in charge of all aspects of football and baseball, Yerry has been working with the athletic performance department at Stony Brook University for the past 4 years, making his way from a student performance coach to his current role as Interim Director of Athletic Performance. He holds his certification as a CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), as well as being accredited as a USAW Sport Performance Coach.

As a graduate assistant, Yerry designed and implemented all components of strength training and
conditioning for softball, men’s soccer, as well as men’s and women’s tennis. During that time, he was in charge of baseball’s conditioning programming while assisting with football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, and volleyball.

After moving into the position of Assistant Director of Athletic Performance, Yerry’s responsibilities shifted to design and implementation of all aspects of strength training and conditioning for women’s basketball, men’s lacrosse, baseball and volleyball, while assisting with football.

Yerry earned his varsity letters in baseball and basketball, moving on to become a 4-year member of Stony Brook’s baseball program, which included a College World Series appearance in 2012.
