Stony Brook Seawolves

Marcus Edwards

Marcus Edwards joined Stony Brook as an assistant coach in 2015 and handles the wide receiver corps.

He comes to Stony Brook after spending the 2014 season at his second stint as an assistant coach at Wagner. Edwards also coached the Seahawks from 2009 to 2011 and in between he served two seasons on the staff at Bowling Green.

Bowling Green enjoyed tremendous success during Edwards; two seasons there as the Falcons made an appearance in the 2012 Military Bowl, played at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington, DC, followed by an appearance in the 2013 Little Ceasers Bowl. Held at Ford Field, in Pontiac, MI, which is the home field of the NFL's Detroit Lions, this 2013 Ceasers Bowl was a reward for winning the 2013 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship.

In Edwards' two seasons at Bowling Green, the Falcons were a combined 18-8 (.692), having gone 8-5 in 2012, followed by a 10-3 campaign in 2013.

The 2007 graduate of South Florida, Edwards collected 73 receptions for 928 yards and three touchdowns during his four year career and was a two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star team member. He then received his master's degree from Wagner in 2011.
