2009: Started the final six games of the season at left tackle team was 4-2 in his starts ... played in eight total games ... blocked for a rushing attack that ranked 30th in the nation and third in the conference ... part of a line that allowed just 1.36 sacks per game to rank among the top 24 in the nation.

2008: Played in five games along the offensive front ... finished the season as Stony Brook[apos]s backup at right tackle.

2007: Got into five games as a backup along the offensive line.

2006: Redshirted.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Northwest Catholic High School ... three-time letterwinner in football for the Indians as an offensive lineman ... named all-state by the Hartford Courant, New Have Register and state coaches as a senior ... all-state as a junior as well ... tri-captain ... also participated in lacrosse and track.

Personal: Born Emmett Daniel-Winston Phillips on May 9, 1988 in Hartford, Connecticut ... son of Ralph and Kruger Phillips ... one sister ... majoring in sociology.
