Timothy Koehler was added to the Sports Medicine staff at Stony Brook University in 2022-23, serving as the Assistant Football Athletic Trainer.
Prior to Stony Brook, Timothy spent a year and a half at Coastal Carolina University as an Athletic Training Assistant. In the Spring of 2021, Timothy served as the primary Athletic Trainer for Track and Field, as well as assisting with spring football. For the 2021-22 year, Timothy assisted with coverage for the University’s football team, in addition to Men’s Tennis in the spring.
Timothy started his athletic training career as a student at Concordia University-Ann Arbor, where he had clinical rotations with Men’s Lacrosse, Softball, and Men’s Hockey. Timothy also had clinical rotations with Women’s Rowing at the University of Michigan and with Football at Eastern Michigan University.
Timothy spent the summer of 2019 with the Detroit Lions as an Athletic Training Summer Intern.
Originally from Belvidere, Illinois, Timothy graduated in 2020 with his Bachelors of Sports Medicine and Masters of Science in Athletic Training from Concordia University Ann Arbor.
