Andre Vanterpool begins his first season as Director of Basketball Operations for the men[apos]s and women[apos]s basketball programs after playing two seasons for the Seawolves.
Last season he appeared in 25 games for Stony Brook, making three starts. Vanterpool finished the year averaging 4.0 points and and 2.5 rebouunds per game and totaled a career-high 15 points against NJIT and FDU.
As a four-year letterwinner at Manhasset High School, Vanterpool was a two-time All-County pick and earned all-conference honors as a sophomore.
As the Director of Basketball Operations, Vanterpool will handle all day-to-day activities surrounding the basketball program. Vanterpool[apos]s duties included such tasks as film exchange, on-campus recruiting, the academic support and strength and conditioning liason, along with assisting in the direction of the Steve Pikiell Basketball Camp at Stony Brook University.
