Jaden Uken enters his seventh season on staff at Stony Brook and his fourth as an assistant coach. Working primarily with the team's forwards, Uken was elevated to Assistant Coach for the 2022-23 season, aiding the program in its transition to the Coastal Athletic Association.
The 2025-26 season saw the Seawolves more than double their win total over the previous season at 17 victories. Uken and the forwards played a large role in that as Stony Brook finish in the top five in blocks in the CAA for the first time ever (3.72 bpg). Sophomore forward Quin Gorman and graduate student center Oleg Kojenets led the way with 29 and 20 blocks, respectively, while sophomore transfer Richard Goods blocked 19 shots in addition to pulling down a team-high 189 rebounds.
In his third year as an assistant in 2024-25, Uken recruited junior transfer CJ Luster and helped develop him into a top-five scorer in the conference (16.8 ppg). Luster would go on to be named Third Team All-CAA, making him the third Seawolf to earn All-CAA honors. Uken also helped further helped develop senior forward and current professional player Andre Snoddy who became the team’s leading rebounder at (8.0 rpg) while nearly doubling his scoring output as he increased his year over year points total from 171 to 297.
During the 2023-24 campaign, the team held on to second in the conference in defensive rebounding for the second year in a row (27.0 rpg). Uken helped Stony Brook improve to 20 wins this season, culminating in a trip to the CAA title game. Though the team fell just short, graduate student center Keenan Fitzmorris took home All-Tournament honors.
Uken's first year as an assistant coach was the Seawolves’ first season in the CAA. That year saw the Seawolves finish second in the league in defensive rebounds (26.3 rpg). Under Uken, graduate student forward Frankie Policelli led the team in both points (451) and rebounds (310) that year.
Uken rejoined his former boss, Geno Ford, as the Director of Basketball Operations at Stony Brook for the 2019-20 season, holding that position for three seasons.
Prior to joining the Seawolves, Uken spent three seasons at Fordham University as the team's Director of Basketball Operations. He also served as an assistant coach for the Rams in the 2015-16 season.
Before his time in the Bronx, Uken was the recruiting coordinator under Ford at Bradley University, helping the Braves to one of the nation's best turnarounds in the 2012-13 season, winning 11 more games than the previous season. He also helped Ford secure a star-filled recruiting class in 2013-14, including a Top-100 high school recruit, a junior college All-American, and a pair of NJCAA All-Region First-Team selections.
Uken was also part of Ford's first staff at Kent State that was responsible in aiding the Golden Flashes to back-to-back Mid-American Conference regular-season titles and NIT bids in the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
