James Montana is in fifth season at Stony Brook, having joined the staff after graduating from Quinnipiac University in 2006 where he was a four-year letterwinner for the Bobcats. His primary duties is working with the offense and the goalkeepers. The offense was one of the nation[apos]s best in 2010 as Kevin Crowley led the country in points per game (4.53) and was in the top 10 in goals per game (3.0). Crowley became Stony Brook[apos]s first first team All-American, USILA Player of the Year, Tewaaraton Award finalist and America East Player of the Year. The Seawolves averaged 13.24 goals per game, fourth best in the nation. Montana helped Charlie Paar, an All-America East first-team selection, to a .565 save percentage as he became Stony Brook[apos]s all-time leader in goalie wins for a season (13). Paar also set an America East Championship record with 34 saves in two games, posted a .600 save percentage during a nine-game winning streak and was part of a 15-0 shutout of Albany. A native of Long Island, Montana was an All-Long Island and All-County selection at Hicksville and Kellenberg Memorial high schools.
