2019: Played in and started 16 games ... anchored the defensive unit ... tallied an assist in a 4-1 loss to Penn State on Sept. 2 ... totaled 1,504 minutes on the season 

2018: A second-team all-conference selection...scored four goals while leading the defensive unit...scored the first goal in a 2-0 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn...netted the equalizer in a 2-1 win over Bryant on Sept. 15.

Before Stony Brook: Fernandes played the first two years of his collegiate career at Iowa Western as a defender, tallying three goals to go along with five assists for 11 total points. He was named Great Lakes District MVP in 2016 as a freshman, and was tabbed an NJCAA All-American as a sophomore in 2017. The 2016 graduate of North Babylon High School played his club soccer for BW Gottschee, who was ranked No. 1 nationally and won the Northeast Conference Championship.
