2022 (Graduate)
Played in all 16 games of Stony Brook’s debut season in the CAA… made 14 starts… tallied one goal and two assists… started and played 81 minutes on opening day at LIU on August 25th… assisted opening goal scored by Amit Magoz in 73rd minute vs. Hofstra in the program’s first ever CAA win on September 3rd… assisted Rondell Payne’s game-winner at Columbia on September 6th… scored first goal of the year against Yale on September 20th… goal was fourth of his career… finished his career with 72 games played, tied for 9th most in program history ... 2022 CAA Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2021 (Senior)
Excellent lefty threat on the wing of Stony Brook attack… led the team with 5 assists on the season… one of Stony Brook’s corner takers and free kick takers… made season debut in 1-0 opening night win against LIU on August 26th… assisted Kori Cupid’s equalizing goal at Drexel in eventual 3-2 overtime victory on September 3rd… registered an assist on Sebastian Rojek’s overtime game-winner against Fairfield on September 11th… had three straight games with an assist to begin the month of October… notched an assist on Gabriel Fernandes’ 86th minute goal vs. Hartford on October 2nd… assisted Kori Cupid’s equalizer at UMBC on October 9th in eventual 3-1 road win…. Picked up assist on Iker Alvarado’s opening goal at NJIT in eventual 2-1 road win on October 13th... played in 94 minutes of America East playoff game vs. UMBC on November 6th

2020-21 (Junior)
Started all eight matches, scored a goal on crazy free-kick at UMBC on March 26th.

2019 (Sophomore)
Appeared in 16 games, starting 12 ... scored game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Hofstra on Sept. 18 ... dished out an assist in a 3-2 win over UAlbany on Oct. 26

2018 (Freshman)
Appeared in 17 games, starting ten...picked up an assist in his collegiate debut in a 3-2 loss to George Washington on Aug. 24...scored first-career goal in a 2-1 win over Binghamton on Oct. 6

Before Stony Brook: Birgisson played in the youth program for Valur, and Icelandic athletic club based in Reykjavík, Iceland. He spent most of his time playing left wing for the program – who has won the Icelandic League 22 times.
