Biography

2025 (Junior): Made two appearances for Stony Brook during the 2025 season… Recorded an at-bat against UNC on Feb. 28 and Fordham on March 4… Registered an out in the outfield against UNC on Feb. 28..

2024 (Sophomore): Played in 34 games, starting 25... Had a .269 batting average, recording 25 hits, six doubles, and 14 RBI across 93 at-bats... Had a .352 on-base percentage... Tallied 69 putouts, one assist, and a .986 fielding percentage on the defensive side. 

2023 (Freshman): Led the freshman class in games played, games started, and hits… Played in 38 games during his freshman year with his collegiate debut at CSUN on February 17… Three multi-RBI games throughout the season… Made a spectacular game-ending catch on March 24, resulting in a SportsCenter Top 10 play against UNCW… Registered two multi-hit games in the series at Elon (4/21-4/23)… Recorded a season-high three hits at Towson on May 18, including a homer, a double, two RBI’s, and scored three runs… Followed up the next game with another home run against Towson on May 19… Finished his season with a .987 fielding percentage. 

AT SOMERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four year member of the varsity baseball team at Somerville… Earned All-Area First Team and First Team All-Conference as a junior… Recognized on the All-State Third Team, All-Area First Team, and First Team All-Conference as a senior… Hit .455 his senior year, moving his average to .420 to end his varsity career… Holds school record for highest average… Branchburg Rotary Scholarship Winner… Boomie Malakov Hall of Fame Scholarship recipient… Kevin Gilbert Scholarship Winner… Hit .381 in the ACBL for the Trenton generals this summer, 2nd highest all time.

PERSONAL: Son of Gina and Robert Wright… has two brothers, Timmy and Robby.
