Christine Lewis started at Stony Brook in the Fall of 2021, serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Christine is primarily responsible for the athletic training coverage of the women's basketball and tennis teams.Â

Prior to Stony Brook, Christine spent four years at The University of Tennessee Southern, the first three as Assistant Athletic Trainer, the last as Assistant Director of Sports Medicine. Throughout her time there, Christine was responsible for the athletic training coverage of 20 sports, served on the conference's Women's Leadership Committee, and was a preceptor for the University of Idaho Athletic Training Education Program.Â

A native of Augusta, GA, Christine graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and from Weber State University with a Master's Degree in Athletic Training. Christine is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and a certified American Red Cross CPR instructor. Christine is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.Â
