Sterling Escoto

Sterling Escoto started at Stony Brook in the Summer of 2024, serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. He is primarily responsible for the athletic training coverage of the women’s soccer team.
 
Prior to Stony Brook, Escoto spent two years as a Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist at Transfitnation LLC. in Smithtown, N.Y. Throughout his time there, he designed individualized exercise programs to meet the specific goals of each client, while instructing them through each session, focusing on form and technique. He also sold training
packages to potential clients.
 
Escoto started his athletic training career as a student at Stony Brook, where he had clinical rotations with Football and Men’s Basketball. He also worked with Men’s Basketball and Field Hockey at Adelphi University and Boys Basketball, Boys Lacrosse, Boys and Girls Track & Field, and Cheerleading at Longwood High School.
 
A native of New York, Escoto graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master’s of Science in Athletic Training from Stony Brook University in 2021.
