DesLauriers joined the Seawolves in the spring of 2000, spearheading the off-season conditioning and recruiting efforts and now enters his fourth full season with the program.

DesLauriers spent seven seasons with Southampton University on Long Island - six as the head coach of the women?s program and seven as the assistant coach of the men?s team. Under his guidance, the Southampton women ranked in the top eight in the region while his team posted an overall GPA of 3.0. The men?s program won three Division II championships during his tenure as the assistant coach and made one eastern final four appearance.

Kevin received his bachelor?s degree in computer math (Magne Cum Laude) from Southampton in 1993, where he excelled as a player on the men?s team. A setter and the team captain, he led Southampton to the Division II championship in 1992. He is still the school?s all-time assist leader. DesLauriers went on to a very prolific playing career, starring for the USA Volleyball Men?s ?A? team, which won the 1995 national championship. DesLauriers was a First Team All-American during that season. In 2001, Kevin was part of the Long Island Men?s Open Team that won the gold medal at the Empire State Games and competed again this summer with that team at the Empire State Games in Buffalo, N.Y.
