Pack Shuts Out Rhode Island

Homestead, FL - Chris Tuthill hurled nine innings of shutout ball to record his first career shutout as Stony Brook ran its season record to a perfect 5-0 with a convincing 5-0 win over Atlantic-10 member Rhode Island Saturday afternoon. Tuthill struck out four batters and retired 20 of his last 21 batters to earn the win.

Phil Bouchard keyed the Seawolves attack, going 2-3 with two runs batted in while teammate Gregg Foster belted a Baseball homer for Stony Brook. Catcher Craig Ansman chipped in with two hits and a run batted in.
