Chris Manna collected three RBI, including a sacrifice fly in the sixth to score the winning run in leading Stony Brook (25-9) to an 8-7 win over Pace in game two of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Seawolves Field. Keith Makowski (4-4) pitched a complete game three-hitter in leading the Setters to a 3-1 win in game one.
The Setters broke open a 2-2 tie in the fourth inning on Frank Siano's three-run blast down the left field line - his second homerun of the day - and extended the lead to 7-3 in the fifth on Mike O'Connor's double down the left field line that scored two.
Stony Brook tied the game at 7-7 in the fifth inning on Manna's RBI single, Phil Bouchard's double that scored two and Lee Lipschutz's fielder's choice RBI. Winning pitcher Brian Keyes (3-0) held the Setters scoreless in the sixth and seventh and Manna plated Gregg Foster with his sacrifice fly to center field in the sixth.
In game one, Siano hit a two-run homerun in the first inning and Makowski held the Seawolves to three hits and one run in the 3-1 win. Siano was 2-for-5 with five RBI on the day.
