Volleyball Falls To Towson, 3-0

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Andrea LeBlanc totaled a game-high 35 assists and Liz Goubeaux had a team-high nine kills as Towson swept Stony Brook 3-0 Saturday afternoon by the scores of 30-27, 30-28, 30-26.

Jordan Tomasek and Melanie Madden each had eight kills for the victorious Tigers. The Seawolves were led by freshman Valerie Maloy who totaled a match-high 15 kills and eight digs. Julie Zub recorded 34 assists and nine digs in the loss.

The loss drops Stony Brook to 11-19 on the year, 4-9 in conference play while Towson improved to 27-3, 12-1 in America East action.

The Seawolves finish out the 2001 season tomorrow against Drexel. The match begins at 12:00 p.m.
