George Kearnes hit a two-out bases clearing double in the seventh inning to help the Seawolves erase a 4-3 deficit en route to a 6-4 victory over Bradley Sunday afternoon in Homestead, Fla.
The Seawolves took a 1-0 lead iwhen Ed Murillo's sacrfice fly plated Jim McCurdy in the first inning. Alex Trezza then broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth, smashing a two-run homer and SB led 3-1. The lead did not last long as Bradley scored three times in the bottom of the inning off starter Jeremy Carle.
Kearnes' game-winning hit in the seventh helped SB improve to 6-3 on the season and made a winner of junior hurler Anthony Stutz, who came on in relief of Carle and earned his first win of the year. Stutz fanned eight batters in only four innings of work.
