Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Londre Blocker, the 2001 Offensive Rookie of the Year, provided the spark early in Stony Brook's 24-14 win over Sacred Heart at the newly renamed Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. Finally recovered from a high ankle sprain suffered in mid-September, Blocker caught two touchdown passes in the first quarter covering 15 and 67 yards as the Seawolves broke out to a 14-0 advantage.
The Manhasset, NY native caught six passes for 133 yards and also rushed the ball twice for 13 yards on the afternoon. Blocker now leads the Seawolves with three touchdown catches and ranks second in receptions and yards per catch.
Stony Brook is back in action this Saturday when it hits the road to face Siena. Kick-off is 1:00 p.m.
