Maine jumped out to an early lead in the day's first game by quickly loading the bases in the first. The first run scored after Simon Williams was hit by a pitch and the Black Bears added two more thanks to a single by Gregg Creek that brought home Alain Picard and Aaron Izaryk. Maine added its fourth run on a double by Ryan Quintal. The lead would swell to 6-0 when Creek tagged a homerun in the top of the third that brought home Williams.
The Seawolves comeback began in the bottom of the third when Renner knocked a single to left that scored Andrew Larsen who reached earlier on an error. The Brook got another run back in the bottom of the fifth when Larsen pulled a solo homerun over the fence in left to make the score 6-2. The Seawolves used the longball again in the bottom of the sixth when David Wood pulled the Stony Brook to within two with his homer that brought home Cole Cicatelli who walked earlier in the inning.

Maine jumped on the score board first again in game two with a Mike Ferriggi single that brought home Williams. The Seawolves retaliated with a run of their own in the bottom half when Wood crossed the plate thanks to a Matt Devins single.
The Black Bears would take control of the outing in the bottom of the fourth when they scored back-to-back solo homeruns by Ferriggi and Quintal to go up 3-1.
