May 16, 2003

Box Score

New Britain, Conn. - Stony Brook's Rich Graham plated Andrew Larsen with the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly to right in the top of the ninth inning that snapped a 3-3 extra-inning deadlock and gave the Seawolves a 4-3 victory and a doubleheader sweep of Hartford Friday afternoon.

Reliever Kevin Fitzgerald (2-2) picked up the win for Stony Brook while Hartford's Brian Mascaro (3-7) suffered the loss in relief of starter Tony Cekovsky.

Jim McCurdy went 3-for-5 with a double for the Seawolves while Larsen went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Hartford and Stony Brook will meet in another doubleheader tomorrow at Muzzy Field in Bristol, CT beginning at noon. A Stony Brook win or a Northeastern loss clinches the No. 3 seed in next week's America East Championship.
