Freshman Chris Sipp was named the America East Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 25, as the league office announced on Monday. Sipp was the toughest out in the Seawolves lineup over the past week, hitting .571 and posting a .667 on-base percentage to lead SB to a 4-1 week.
Sipp upped his season average to .307 as he his safely in four of five games this week, including multi-hit efforts in three of those contests. His best outing came vs. Wagner on Thursday, as Sipp went 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI in an 11-7 Seawolves victory.
Sipp's .416 on-base percentage ranks first on the team, while his 14 walks rank second and his .307 average is third.
