Jon Lewis earns Stony Brook Athlete of the Week honors after another outstanding performance on the mound, helping the baseball team clinch the final spot in the America East Tournament next week.
Lewis tossed a complete game two-hitter to lift the Seawolves to a 2-0 victory over Binghamton in Game 1 of Saturday's double header. Lewis allowed just two hits while striking out five en route to his fifth straight complete game.
With his seven innings pitched, Lewis is now the all-time Stony Brook leader with 238.0 innings pitched in his career.
In his last four starts, Lewis is 4-0 with a 0.96 ERA and 31 strikeouts while allowing just one walk.
